- aws_lb_target_group, aws_subnet, aws_security_group
- aws_cognito_user_pool, aws_dynamodb_table_item
Note which resource(s) are mentioned in the stack trace.
If the crash only occurs during terraform destroy, try this workaround:
1. Comment out or remove the resource causing the crash from your Terraform configuration
2. Run terraform init (to re-detect resources)
3. Run terraform plan and terraform apply (to delete the offending resource)
4. Then proceed with destroying the rest of your infrastructure:

Memory Issues: If the crash occurs when managing large numbers of resources or using multiple provider aliases, it may be due to memory exhaustion. Each provider alias consumes roughly 100MB of memory. Consider reducing the number of aliases or splitting your configuration across multiple workspaces.
Environment Differences: Some crashes only occur in CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) due to limited memory. Verify your runner has sufficient RAM (at least 4GB recommended) and consider reducing terraform parallelism with -parallelism=2 to lower memory usage.
Regex Cache Issue: AWS provider versions before v5.14.0 had inefficient regex caching that could cause memory leaks. Ensure you're using v5.14.0 or later if experiencing long-running operations.
Schema Caching: Terraform v1.6.0 and later support cached provider schemas, significantly reducing memory consumption on subsequent runs. Upgrade Terraform if you're on an older version.
